Prenuptial Agreements

If you are contemplating marriage, a prenuptial agreement may be appropriate to protect your substantial separate property estate and earnings during marriage. It is wise to have experienced counsel prepare a prenuptial agreement.

Joanne also has experience in assessing the validity of prenuptial agreements and interpreting their terms. Not every prenuptial agreement is automatically valid, even those drafted by a lawyer. There are certain formalities that must be followed and certain types of disclosures that must be made in California.

Joanne also prepares post-nuptial agreements (those agreements made during the marriage) as well as transmutation agreements to change the character of property.
